Standard Lettermail postal rates. Pay standard postage rates by using a combination of stamps totaling the required value indicated in the chart below or pay the exact cost by going in to the post office. 0—30g = up to 5 sheets of paper. 0—50g = up to 9 sheets of paper. If your envelope can slide through that large slot (which is 20mm/2cm), and weighs no more than 500 grams, it can be sent as Lettermail (called 'Non-standard or Oversize' Lettermail) and should cost you $5 or less. When selling oldschool nintendo games, Canada post keeps claiming my envelopes (even non-bubble padded ones ) cannot be sent by small packet or with stamps because they are too thick in height 'for the slot'.
